LIPA is a non-government, non-partisan, non-religious and independent organisation which, by bringing people together and organizing cultural events and cultural activities, upholds cultural diversity, promotion of cultural and historical heritage, international cooperation and networking in order to conserve, promote, maintain and protect cultural and historical heritage, participates in activities aimed at promoting human values, conserving the material value of monuments and in social and educational activities which contribute to the development and protection of the entire community. Acting in accordance with the Preamble of the UNESCO Constitution: “That the wide diffusion of culture, and the education of humanity for justice and liberty and peace are indispensable to the dignity of man and constitute a sacred duty which all the nations must fulfil in a spirit of mutual assistance and concern."
