About ASSP Northwest Chapter
ASSP is the world’s oldest and largest professional safety organization. ASSP fosters the development of technical, scientific, managerial, and ethical knowledge and competency of safety, health, and environmental professionals. We use these skills for the protection of people, property, and the environment. A key mission of the Society is to advance the status and promote the advancement of the safety profession. The Northwest Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) was founded in 1943 and has over 800 members. Our geographical boundaries are North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and western Wisconsin. Our chapter activities are guided by our chapter bylaws. Our core values form the foundation on which we work and conduct our Society. These values are so primary, and so important to us, that throughout the changes in the global society, government, politics, and technology they are still the core values we will abide by. These values underlie our work, how we interact with each other, and those strategies we employ to fulfill our mission. They are the practices we use every day in everything we do.
