Asta Film develops and produce high end art house features based in Denmark with co-producing partners in Europe.
Asta Film was established in 2002 by Per Holst. In 2017 Morten Holst and Pelle Folmer joined the company as co-owners and producers.
Asta Film has produced ”'Brotherhood” by Nicolo Donato, which won The Grand Prize at the International Film Festival in Rome in 2009 and “MAX Embarrassing goes to the Festival” by Lotte Svendsen won the Danish Audience Award 2012. The latest production is by Lisa Ohlin, “Walk with me”, released 2016 and currently a featurefilm, ”What a Circus” by Lotte Svendsen is in production.
