Asylos

Asylos is an international network providing case-tailored research on Country of Origin Information for lawyers and NGOs representing asylum-seekers around the world. In many countries, legal aid provided for asylum seekers is limited. Lawyers and caseworkers cannot devote sufficient time to researching information which may substantiate asylum requests in court. Asylos' volunteers look for information that can help to establish whether forcing a refugee to return to his/her country of origin or transit would be life threatening or deny fundamental human and civil rights. The research concerns the asylum seeker's situation in the country of origin or other facts relating to an individual asylum claim. Our international network of volunteers is spread out through different countries and work in several languages.
