ATA AIRLINES

ATA Airlines is established in 2009 and it commenced the first official flight activity coinciding with the anniversary ceremonies for the victory of Islamic revolution (Daheye-Fajr). Now, on the verge of the 8th year of the official debut of the company, we graciously acknowledge that the unsparing collaboration between private and public sectors resulted well and ATA Airlines (ATA since now) has become a mirror of honor for Eastern Azerbaijan province. In this discourse, the main objectives for the establishment of this company and more some attainments during the last 8 years are described. 1. should people realize the advantages of the cultural, industrial and tourism attractions of north-western provinces of Iran especially East Azerbaijan, they will ponder over consolidating routes between north-western provinces and other regions much more scrupulously. To begin with, with regard to the short-term plan, consolidation of routes between this region and other regions of Iran which have industrial and tourism attractions were arranged on the agenda of ATA. Therefore, ATA started its flights from Tabriz to cities like Tehran, Kish Island, and Mashhad. Furthermore, in addition to routes like Tehran-Tabriz, Tehran-Urmia, and Tehran-Ardabil, the centers of north-west provinces of Iran were connected to cities like Mashhad, Kish Island and Shiraz which are going to be expanded in near future. 2. Despite all domestic and foreign obstacles and by providing necessary resources, the company has purchased and imported 20 aircraft like as Airbus 320, Boeing 737, and MD83.
