AthleteLink

Our team, AthleteLink, composed of four University of Virginia students, engaged in a startup designed to streamline connections between college athletes and local youth for private/group lessons and events. We developed a range of skills that are invaluable in the professional world: Project Management: Led the development of a fully functional website for booking and information, coordinating efforts across a team of four UVA seniors to ensure timely and effective execution. Marketing and Outreach: Implemented successful marketing campaigns using Instagram, Facebook ads, and Reddit posts, in addition to creating business cards and engaging in email marketing to promote our services and grow our client base. Client Relationship Management: Attended multiple events to promote AthleteLink, directly interacting with parents and coaches to understand their needs, gather feedback, and build strong relationships. Business Development: Negotiated partnerships with local businesses and coaches, and placed our business cards in strategic locations to increase visibility and attract clients. Presentation and Communication: Presented the company multiple times, including a capstone presentation, demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills. These experiences have equipped our team with a versatile skill set that we are eager to apply in a professional setting.
