Athletes For Hope Australia

Athletes For Hope Australia company information, Employees & Contact Information

Athletes for Hope Australia (AFHA) was established in 2020 by co-founders Laura Johnston and Iain Roy. AFHA is the first international chapter of Athletes for Hope, a non-profit organisation that was founded in the United States in 2007 by Andre Agassi, Muhammad Ali, Warrick Dunn, Jeff Gordon, Mia Hamm, Tony Hawk, Andrea Jaeger, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Mario Lemieux, Alonzo Mourning and Cal Ripken Jr. As athletes who shared a deep commitment to giving back, the US founders joined forces to create an organisation that brings athletes together to educate, inspire, and empower them to channel their energy for a common goal: to make a difference in the world through sports philanthropy. In Australia, AFHA is building a community of purpose-led athletes from all pathway stages, who want to create impact for the causes and charities they care about. We empower athletes with the knowledge and networks they need to make a meaningful contribution with impact, with ongoing learning and support through the AFHA community. Our vision is to create an athlete-driven movement that creates social impact. Our mission is to empower a community of purpose-led athletes to contribute with impact to causes, charities and communities. AFHA relies on funding to deliver programs for athletes, sporting organisations and community organisations. Please contact us through our website www.athletesforhope.org.au to explore opportunities to support and partner with us.
