About Atlas 46

Who are we and what do we do? Atlas 46 handcrafts textiles into premium American made products by using refined sewing techniques which allow us to be good stewards of our resources while redeveloping the communities we serve. Atlas 46 works with individual customers and industry professionals to understand their wants and needs. We make sure our material is of the highest quality and crafted with care by highly skilled sewers. Our customers can expect that our products will last a lifetime whether they are professional construction workers, linemen, safety practitioners, woodworkers, plumbers, electricians or those of us who like tackle DIY projects. As an American made company, Atlas 46 ensures the hand stitched product you buy is produced in an ethical work environment. Our sewers work in a climate-controlled facilities to ensure the most comfortable working environment possible, and they get a chance to build a career, not just work a job. Further, everyone at Atlas loves our communities, and we’ve adopted a pod manufacturing model that allows us to place facilities in financial challenged areas. When we come to town, we seek out historic buildings in need of some work, help restore them and make them modern manufacturing facilities while respecting the history. Once we are in a community, we seek to serve it through sponsoring events, working with other small businesses to enhance the area, and provide community leadership. Like all great American companies, Atlas 46 started at home. John Carver and his mom Lorene Pyles started sewing in their St. Louis basement. Eventually, John started Atlas 46 and he brought on his son, Brian Carver, who took over as CEO and reorganized the entire manufacturing process. He decided to test a pod manufacturing concept in Hillsboro, Illinois, to see if he could help revitalize small towns. The experiment proved to be a huge success and Atlas opened a new facility in Vandalia, Illinois, with plans to expand
