Atmosa was established in May 1995 by the Taiwanese Dahin Group after the acquisition of the Phthalic Anhydride plant from Chemie Linz, a former affiliate company of OMV. This acquisition was part of Dahin Group’s strategic goal of upstream integration and global expansion. After playing a significant role within the Dahin group for a number of years, Atmosa has gradually shifted its focus to the European market. Today, Atmosa is an independent company and one of the major producers of Phthalic Anhydride in Europe.
