ATOMY was established in 2017 in Gdańsk on the initiative of Monika Szymańska and Ula Skłodowska. The brand's philosophy is faithful to the concept of Lean Manufacturing, i.e. the method of rational production management - we do not produce in excess, thus respecting human work and the environment. Invariably, from the beginning of Atomy's existence, we have been cooperating with local contractors and suppliers who care deeply about meeting the highest ecological and quality standards. We believe that supporting regional companies is not only an investment in the community, but it also creates conscious fashion for years. Our products are made to customer's special order or in small, limited series.
ATOMY are geometric handbags with a modern twist, the construction of which often requires many months of work for our technologists and leatherworkers. The passion for unusual shapes has its genesis in the profession of the founder and creative director Monika Szymańska, who is an architect by education. Every day in our private life and in our studio, we are looking for well-thought-out, functional and beautiful forms that are supposed to serve a comfortable life, and being surrounded by them is supposed to give us a sense of uniqueness that does not pass with the seasons in fashion.
ATOMY were awarded in the Must Have Lodz Design Awards plebiscite. In 2019 part of our collection was presented at Wanted Design exhibition in New York. In 2021 brand started cooperation with Printemps, as well as being the third Polish brand to appear at exclusive London department store - Harrods.
Both Polish and foreign leading press and online magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Forbes, WWD, Who What Wear, Harper's Bazaar, Grazia, Marie Claire and others wrote about our products. Atomy featured well-known influencers, models and fashion journalists, including: Anouk Yve, Alyssa Coscarelli, Jelena Marija, Maffashion, Kasia Tusk, Ania Lewandowska, Daphne Groeneveld, Monika Jac Jagaciak
