ATTENTION! is one of the largest R&D projects ever conducted for applying AI and ML to detect trade-based money laundering, smuggling, brand- and product piracy using public data. Co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and Enterprise Singapore within the framework of ITEA4, the international consortium brings together leading German AI research institutions L3S and Universität Bonn, "Germany's most innovative Tech company" (German Stevie Awards 2022) HASE & IGEL, award-winning Singapore-based financial crime boutique RisikoTek and world-leading manufacturing corporation SCHAEFFLER. The goal of ATTENTION! is the development of fully automated, ML-based models and solutions for the detection and classification of illicit vendors, enabling effective action to stop illegal trade.
