Atvisor is an AI-based digital platform for assistive technology consultation. A platform for shared use between healthcare professionals, suppliers and their clients – people with disabilities and the ageing community.
As it stands, over one billion people with disabilities are in need of assistive technology (AT). Majority of these people do not currently have access to AT (World Health Organization, 2013). These issues relate to reduced information online and ineffective consultation services. Assistive technology, when suited for client needs, leads to an increased level of independence, lower cost of care (hospitalization and nursing), higher education and increased employment levels. Healthcare professionals play a critical role in mediating assistive technology use. Therefore, they are in need of better access to information and specific tools to manage efficient consultations.
Atvisor enables people with disabilities and the elderly to enjoy independent and better quality of life through providing solutions of effective and meaningful assistive technologies.
