AUGM is essentially two separate but intertwined corporations, Advanced Urogynecology of Michigan P.C. (AUGM) and Michigan Institute of Women’s Health P.C. (MIWH).
Advanced Urogynecology of Michigan P.C. (AUGM) is the clinical practice that is involved with direct patient care. It is the Center of Excellence for the management of several Female Pelvic Floor Disorders such as Urinary Incontinence, Fecal Incontinence, Uterovaginal Prolapse, Pelvic Pain etc. We have one of the largest series in Vaginal Reconstructive surgery for the management of prolapse in the country and are one of the few certified sites in the world that perform incontinence surgery in the office entirely under local anesthesia. AUGM also provides office-based surgical options for our patients entirely under local anesthesia.
Michigan Institute of Women’s Health P.C. (MIWH) is the research division that conducts clinical trials in the field of Pelvic Medicine. MIWH is involved in several National Institute of Health (NIH) clinical trials. We strongly believe in evidence-based practice.
As part of the AUGM experience, you will also be involved in the AUGM University that will provide you continuing education, breakthroughs and new developments via email.
