Augment Bionics Ltd.

Augment Bionics is a medical devices start-up founded at the University of Edinburgh. Our mission is to produce high quality products at a competitive price. Our founding team comprises of five individuals from an array of backgrounds with a common goal to make a positive social impact and address inequalities in healthcare. Our innovative product concepts combine smart engineering techniques and user-centric designs to create the most functional devices at their given price point. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team was honoured to help frontline healthcare workers in acquiring PPE during a severe national shortage. Throughout the course of March - June 2020, Augment Bionics provided over 60,000 medical face shields to 62 different NHS locations across the UK. In addition, Augment Bionics distributed a further 60,000 face shields abroad, where the effects of the Coronavirus had also taken hold. As a socially responsible business, generating a positive social impact both in the UK and in emerging markets abroad remains at the heart of our operations and an integral part of our vision.
