Augmented Carer! is a CreativiTIC's spin-off focused on #HealthCare market. Use of New Therapeutic Technologies based on Augmented and Virtual Reality for Patients with Autism (ASD), Alzheimer, Chronic Pain and other Diseases. These therapies reduce medical costs improving clinical course and patients' quality of life. Emerging technologies are a useful utility to improve and accelerate patient health and their social relations. We develop for the medical community and healthcare professionals new solutions to help them get better treatments through using augmented and virtual reality technologies. Based on this principles we have developed "Augmented caRer", a platform where health care professionals without any technical knowledge can create and test new technological therapies. Showing some applied examples: We are using Augmented Reality technologies in autism spectrum disorder patients where there is a need to endow autistic children with clearer, more consistent means of non-verbal communication. Our augmented reality platform covers this gap simplifying the simple tasks and concepts difficult to grasp and reducing the barriers to communicate and interact with others. We are using Virtual Reality technologies with anesthetist physicians and pain unit professionals to control pain without drugs in chronic patients through virtual stimuli. In this way the pain from wound care and other hospital procedures may be reduced. Clinical trials show dramatic reductions in pain, plus patients report feeling less anxious when they have Virtual Reality to help them through the painful procedure.
