Fashion is one of our most tangible expressions of cultural dynamics of any given historical period; clothing serves as an archive of historical memory. Not only that, but clothes are the tangible expressions of our outward representation to the world. From these tenets comes Auguri. Auguri is a culturally-based lifestyle brand based upon the Italian poet Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy” -- an Italian epic that chronicles Dante’s journey through Inferno (Hell), Purgatorio (Purgatory), and Paradiso (Heaven). Each of our pieces are crafted around Dante’s depiction of heaven and hell, with their imagery being our main inspiration. Every piece of clothing sewn and pieced together is the product of eons of accumulated aesthetic tradition. In our increasingly fragmented postmodern society, we are in more control than ever. No longer are we bound by the shackles of having to conform - we are liberators, we are disruptors.
