Collectives – a collection curated, created and crafted with passion.. And that is the mantra behind this brand. A small venture which to start with is focussing on accessories for the home that inspires to make your home beautiful !
August Collectives was started by Punita Kalra,.
With over a two and half decade experience working for buying houses across Europe and Asia and America, Punita dealt with products ranging from garments, footwear to home décor and accessories. Lovers of beautiful homes, she discovered during her sojourns abroad as to how beautiful home décor items were manufactured in India with Indian sensibilities but with a contemporary global appeal for the international market. These designs were light, minimal and sat comfortably in homes across the world from Manhattan to Stockholm to Tokyo.She also realised that the design and manufacturing was at par with global standards and though “Made in India” they were not being sold in India. The well heeled Indian consumer was looking for such maintenance free, stylish elegant pieces for the home. There was a growing clientele for such products in India. This was the genesis of August Collectives.
The uber chic range of products is handcrafted with care using high quality maerials. The designs have an Indian sensibility but with a contemporary global appeal. The home may be in any part of the world yet in ruminating manner remind one of India. On the practical side, the products are easy to maintain, hardy and made of non-corrosive and food safe coatings.
