The idea of slow and circular fashion entrepreneurship was inherited by birth in our founders Jagruti and Rutu, a dazzling mother daughter duo!
Rutu Says, “our partnership started way ahead of time. Mom used to design and sew clothes for me and my sister. In fact, I and my sister have barely worn Indian traditional outfits bought form a retail store. It was always custom made by mom for us using amazing design ideas which incorporated fabrics and trims pre-existing in our house. She used to recycle and reuse them a lot.”
By witnessing her interest in fashion, Jagruti always motivated her to take formal education and build our own brand on the basis of our ancestral values of compassion, elegance, comfort and slow fashion.
Jagruti herself comes from the family of traditional Indian hand embroiders and dressmakers. She says, “In our time, back in 70s it was different, we used to make clothes diligently with intricate designs keeping the utility, style and comfort in mind. There was lots of compassion involved in the process. That is the reason our clothes were passed on to generations as legacy. We proudly believed in reusing and preserving our clothes”
“Simple yet Significant” being our tagline, we aim to provide very comfortable yet stylish products to our customers. Our products are balanced mix of Art and style. We care for the planet and it breaks our heart to learn that fashion industry is the 2nd most polluted industry. Having said that, though sustainability is a very wide range of topics, we do consciously aim to achieve more and more sustainability in our entire product development process by each passing day.
With our persistent efforts and your support, as a brand we want to create a place where everyone is happy and content to work in a fashion house contrary to the industry image. We want to convey the importance of slow fashion concept through our products to entire world. Last but not least, we want to make difference to the planet.
