Australian Psychology Learning and Teaching (AusPLAT)

The AusPLAT Community consists of a passionate and diverse group of Australian psychology educators from primary & secondary schools, universities, private providers and also international colleagues. We are an active, research-inspired, outward facing, not for profit community keen to support and advocate for quality psychology education. We contribute to building resources available (open access) to all educators. Our key event is the biennial AusPLAT conference, one in which educators from all settings share their research and ideas for quality teaching and learning of psychology. We hold other events during the year, such as the popular round-table events. The Australian Teachers of Psychology (AusTOP) network is part of AusPLAT. We enjoy co-beneficial relationships with psychology and teacher associations, such as Australian Psychological Society Psychology Education Interest Group (APS PsyEd IG), and we were the first APA Society for Teaching of Psychology (STP) Affinity Group (Australian affinity Group). We have strong connections with International Council of Psychology Educators (ICOPE), ESPLAT, TOPPS and Interested? Passionate about psychology education?
