Austin Physical Therapy was established in May of 2010 by Jay Austin, PT. His goal was simple, to bring functional rehabilitation to Huntsville and North Alabama that centered on the patient. After starting and managing a very successful PT practice for local Spine surgeons for 9 yrs, Jay saw the need to offer evidence-based functional rehab to people in all walks of life. His unconventional ’out of the box’ approach centers on repositioning faulty structural asymmetries, retraining motor patterns, and restoring efficient movement. This uncommon, evidence based approach has helped thousands of chronically pained people rediscover a life that was once an afterthought. As a result of the constant search for better outcomes and methods, Austin Physical Therapy now incorporates several “Not so Traditional” treatment philosophies. A few years later, Austin Golf & Performance was established combining the same “unconventional” therapy and high performance fitness. Not only are you improving your athleticism, but you're improving how WELL your body moves in your sport. Training incorporates the proven “postural” approach while combining strength, power and speed. The Titleist Performance Institute Certified trainer & therapist not only understands a golfers "Body Swing Connection”, but ensures success to all athletes by training the body the way it was intended to move.
