The Australasian Type 1 Diabetes Immunotherapy Collaborative (ATIC) brings key members of the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community to together.
We aim to accelerate the development and delivery of immunotherapy treatments that address the root cause of type 1 diabetes – immune system attack on insulin-producing cells.
Core to our success is the broader T1D community – people living with the condition, their families and advocates – and our extensive network of adult and paediatric endocrinologists, immunologists, clinical trial leaders, clinicians, educators and national and international research groups.
Together, we will identify and create immunotherapy trial opportunities for people at every age and every stage of T1D.
Bespoke training and education programs are underway to raise awareness, improve knowledge, and increase the uptake of ATIC’s T1D immunotherapy trial and treatment paradigm across all healthcare settings.
Supported by JDRF Australia and led by St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research (SVI) in Melbourne, ATIC’s clinical lead site is The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
