AGPA exists to represent the interests of Principal led General Practices to ensure that Australia continues to have the first class primary health care system that Australians are entitled to and expect.
Primary health care in Australia is dependent on the privately owned General Practices that deliver the services that Australia needs.
AGPA considers that the best primary care is delivered by Practices where the GP owners work in the Practices they own - Principal led Practices.
AGPA also believes that unless these Practices are commercially viable the quality of primary care available to Australians will inevitably decline.
