Since 2011, LYF has engaged and supported over 350 at-risk WA teens with over 500 volunteers dedicating their time to enhancing the lives of young people through the year-long mentoring and large group activities program.
Through Leading Youth Forward, teens are carefully matched with a volunteer mentor who provides one-on-one support and encouragement to build confidence, nurture personal growth and positively influence their teen at a critical stage in their life.
Over the course of the year, our mentor and teens together attend a weekend camp and four Big Day Out events hosted by LYF. Through such events, teens and their mentor partake in a diverse range of fun and challenging activities that help build the relationships as well as provide exciting opportunities that they otherwise may not have had.
