OzWind, through its training division - the Australian Wind Academy, seeks to address the Wind Industry's Training and Skilling needs in Australia, while also aiming to set a new standard in Technical and Safety Training in the industry. The transition to renewable energy in Australia will create 59,000 new jobs by 2030, and will require 168,000 additional workers trained in renewable energy skills by 2050 (34,000 in the Wind Industry).* Meeting the future skills needs of the energy sector is critically important to meet the clean energy transition as there will be a growing demand for skilled tradespeople and energy professionals.
