Australian Inspector Training (AIT) provides training for students who would like to become a 'pre-purchase building and pest inspector' or licensed 'pest management technician'. Online courses offered: Pre-Purchase Residential Building Inspector This course covers the skills required to undertake pre-purchase building inspections in Australia. It is applicable for anyone undertaking pre-purchase building inspections throughout Australia. Students will learn the fundamentals of customer service and communication, as well as how to write a report in accordance with AS4349.1. General Pest Management This course covers units CPPUPM3005, CPPUPM3006 and CPPUPM3018 which will provide you with the knowledge to identify and report on pest activity within a property. Together with completion of the online learning units, students in all states and territories are required to undertake practical experience with a licensed pest management technician which they must organise. Students will need to fill out a log book and take photographic evidence noting the set tasks they complete with their supervisor, as outlined within the work placement booklet. On completion, students can apply for a Pest Management Technicians license in their relevant stare or territory. Timber Pest Management Timber pest management units CPPUPM3008 and CPPUPM3010 will provide you with the knowledge required to identify and report on termite and timber pest activity within a property.
