Founded by interior designer, Jane Adams, following 20 years of interior design experience, the new heritage brand has travelled the lengths and breadth of the British Isles to source an elegant range of furniture and interior accessories from many talented artisans and designers. These beautifully hand-crafted pieces are curated in context in exquisitely themed collections on AUTHOR’s e-tailer interior gallery. Each ever-expanding collection is named after an author, book title, character or chapter and tells a story, to inspire clients to find the right piece for their individual style and space.
AUTHOR champions furniture and interior pieces that epitomise timeless and classic design. We encourage our customers to invest well in these ‘lifetime’ luxury pieces that have been produced sustainably and responsibly by talented craftswomen and men all over Britain. We want people to carefully consider the objects with which they furnish their homes and to adopt a mindful attitude towards buying furniture for life.
In addition to sourcing beautiful furniture from contemporary British artists and makers, AUTHOR designs and commissions its own exclusive range of finest quality pieces. Collaborating with local makers is important to us and we strive to make a wonderful new piece that will be cherished for a lifetime. We also offer bespoke services and would be delighted to work with you to select a finish, fabric or size of any of our pieces to suit your exact requirements and liaise as appropriate with the designer to make the item especially for you.
