The AuthorAID Ghana Hub is a research initiative supported by International Network for Advancing Science and Policy (INASP) and AuthorAID for researchers in Ghana with implementation partners such as Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Dataking Research Lab of Dataking Consulting. Despite the strong demographic stance of African countries, the continent contributes less than 1% to the global research output and budgetary contributions to research and development are only about 0.42% to the continent’s gross domestic product, which is below the global average of 1.7%. The Hub aims to create a knowledge-sharing environment driven by peer-to-peer learning for both health and social science researchers to enhance their research acumen.
