Authtech was born from the increased need in the market for a secure way to authentication. Between mobile to mobile, and mobile to laptop authentication, the new technology would eliminate the signing up process, creating ID and PW. In the situation between parents and children, parents don't want to share credit card information but need to pay something for them. With big players like Apple Pay and Google Pay, the market seems dominated, but the downside of using their technology is that the credit/debit cards entered can easily be hacked, due to the fact that it cannot protect the user’s data all the time. To solve the security problem, we’ve created authtech using an emerging technology called Lifi - which involves the use of visible light from an LED to transmit high-speed data to a photo detector (camera, webcam). To make the transactions more secure, each light signal sent from the mobile device is a one-time passcode, rather than a piece of information. This makes it impossible to be hacked. Authtech is has an issued patent in the territory of the United States, E.U., Singapore, Indonesia, and S.Korea.
