We are in the second year of our pilot Early Intervention Parent Training Program for parents that have a young child with autism. The event is held in Larache, Morocco. Here, global health professionals provide intensive therapy for the children while training parents in early intervention methods. We hope to create an educational network wherein families of young children with autism can learn, then in turn educate and support others. The program comes free to all qualifying families and is entirely run on donations of time and money.
At our last year program, after four weeks, all of our participating children made improvements while parents and siblings gained strategies and confidence to increase education outcomes and bolster learning at home.
