Autohellas has been active in the automobile sector since 1974 and has been listed on the Athens Stock Exchange since 1999. It is the original company and a member of the larger Th. Vassilakis Group which operates, inter alia, in the air transport industry through the listed company AEGEAN.
The Autohellas Group is active in the car and light truck rental and car import, distribution and sales sectors. More specifically, its services include Car Rentals (for under one year), and Operating Leasing and Fleet Management (for over one year). In Greece, as well as in Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Ukraine and Croatia it has the exclusive rights to use the Hertz and Thrifty, Dollar and Firefly brands, and the exclusive right to expertise for the development of best car rental services.
In the retail sector, the Group is the exclusive importer of SEAT, HYUNDAI and KIA cars in Greece and of SEAT cars in Bulgaria. Autohellas, through its Velmar brand, also provides services as a licensed distributor and repairer of BMW, ΜΙΝΙ, FORD, OPEL, SEAT, SAAB, ALFA ROMEΟ, FIAT, ABARTH, VOLVO, HYUNDAI, KIA and JEEP cars and ΒΜW MOTORRAD motorcycles.
With over 50 years of presence in the Greek market, Autohellas is one of the largest car rental, import, distribution and retail companies in Greece, in terms of both its turnover and the size of the fleet it operates.
