The International Trade and Investment Law Society (ITILS) is one of the most active student organizations at American University's Washington College of Law (WCL). The society brings together students interested in the field of trade and international investment. ITILS maintains strong connections with WCL alumni and the trade and investment community not only in DC but around the world.
Each semester, the society hosts several events that speak to the practice of international trade, investment, and arbitration to provide students an environment to meet with practitioners and faculty. The ITILS also helps to sponsor a team of students to participate in a WTO Moot Competition sponsored and developed by the European Law Students Association (ELSA) each year.
