Avala Hejje

"Avala Hejje" is a social enterprise founded to empower women. Our belief is that when women step forward, the society takes a leap. In India today, most parents impart equal attention and care to their daughters as they would to their sons and take great pride in their daughter's achievements. Yet, outside the comfort of their homes, women face invisible but significant barriers in achieving their dreams that are far greater than what their male counterparts would encounter. At Avala Hejje (meaning "Her Steps" in Kannada), we have set out to equip women with practical and proven tools to recognise these barriers and find keys to achieve their full potential and fulfilling their dreams. When a woman succeeds, everyone benefits: the woman, her family, the next generation and the nation.
