Opened in 1987, Avalon is a unique centre with a vision to meet unmet needs. It is run entirely by volunteers and survives solely on donations and grants. Avalon's focus is to offer a helping hand to the forgotten, overlooked or left behind, including the homeless, people with mental illness and/or disabilities, the elderly and anyone requiring support. Avalon aims to help when it can, where we can and in whatever way we can. We are not associated with any religious body.
Avalon runs a weekly Drop-In where everyone is welcome to attend, there are regular Day trips nad a clothing and bedding distribution to the homeless and disadvantaged. Avalon also provides affordable, fully equipped accommodation with tailored support in the programme Avalon Homes For The Homeless.
