Avenard Couture is named after our founder’s mother’s family name. Jonathan hails from the Loire-Atlantique region of France, where his family still live. The Avenard are an artisanal family, creative skills have been passed down for generations. The family have worked at the best Masion Couture. Jonathan was designing, until recently he had the opportunity to explore luxury handbag authentication. His extensive understanding of couture history and techniques employed in developing luxury items was invaluable in developing his skill in luxury handbag authentication. In the process of authenticating luxury handbags Jonathan identified that many bags were suffering in quality due to poor storage conditions. This is when Bag-Shaper was born.
