The Founder, Anastasia Velentza, provides strategic and scientific expertise and leadership in Drug Discovery. More than 25 years of experience spanning academia, pharma and biotech and start up industries. Experience in multiple disease areas, including Oncology, Neurology, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease, Endocrinology, Liver and Gastrointestinal Disease, Inflammatory Disease. Extensive expertise in a variety of modalities such as small molecules, peptides, Targeted Protein Degradation and diverse targets, for example enzymes, receptors, cytokines. Leadership in various stages of the drug discovery process, including target selection and validation, MoA studies, assay development and screening, as well as establishment of drug discovery assay cascades from activity, target engagement to more complex functional and translational assays. Hands on experience and/or leadership roles in multiple drug discovery disciplines from bioorganic and medicinal chemistry to molecular pharmacology, enzymology, receptor pharmacology, cell, molecular and structural biology. Building and directing integrated, high performing science and technology teams at the interface of biology, chemistry, engineering and informatics.
