Avenue2

Avenue2 is a consortium of Strukton and Ballast Nedam. It won the tender for the integrated A2 Maastricht project in June 2009. Avenue2 develops "De Groene Loper" This is a single integrated and sustainable plan for the city of Maastricht and the A2 motorway. It is a plan with multiple objectives for the improvement of the traffic flow on the A2 and the accessibility of Maastricht, as well as one that promotes the quality of life and road safety, resolving bottlenecks within the city, and creating opportunities for urban development. A remarkable feature is the 2,3 km "double-decker" tunnel.
