Avertic Armour originates from the world’s No.1 chainsaw protective textile, Avertic. This unique textile was first patented in the late 80: s. Since then, Avertic has protected hundreds of thousands of forests workers, worldwide, every day wearing protective clothing from Stihl, Husqvarna, Pfanner and others.
“It never happens to me” is a common way of thinking even though the number of terror attacks, burglaries and break-in attempts increases worldwide every year. The solution, for those who worries, is often electronic security systems with the intent to deter. Unfortunately, the effect is often absent since burglars many times are aware of how the systems works or aim for a swift hit and run using powerful machines. Knowing this, we decided to take our unique chainsaw protective textiles to yet another market, the security industry. Our aim was to protect, not only against chainsaws but all the most common power tools that criminals easily can get their hands on. Since these tools are now powered by batteries or gasoline, and no external power is needed, they are easily concealed and carry on.
After three years of product development and hundreds of tests we now have a patented security liner that stalls or completely stops multiple power tools. Avertic Armour is used on four different continents adding extra protection to Cash in Transit Vehicles, Strong Rooms, Domestic and Commercial Buildings, Security Doors, Safes, Critical Infrastructure objects, ATM´s etc. Thanks to Kjell Eng´s original idea and will to protect forestry workers, Engtex and Avertic has built a robust reputation for security, safety and confidence.
