Avianova is a Russian domestic LCC/Airline currently operating 5 A320 aircraft on scheduled and charter services within European domestic Russia (West of the Urals). The philosophy of Avianova is to bring Western safety, efficiency and product standards to the Russian market. Avianova began operations in August 2009 and is currently the fastest growing airline in Russia and number 4 carrier in terms of passenger numbers. Avianova carried 1.38 million passengers in 2010. The airline is backed by the Russian A1, Alfa group investment company, and American Investment Fund Indigo Partners. Avianova is a member of the 7 airline Indigo group. Avianova is based at Sheremetyevo (SVO) airport in Moscow. The airline has aggressive fleet and market expansion plans and a mission to become the number 1 airline in the Russian market.
