Norwegian startup Avisomo has created the Frøy Growth System - a revolutionizing approach to vertical farming named after the Norse god of wind, rain, and sun.
Utilizing a standardized, industry 4.0 approach to vertical farming, Avisomo's Frøy Growth System enables cost-efficient plant production integrated directly into large-scale food supply chains.
Currently, Avisomo is building the most automated vertical farm on the market in a joint venture with Norway's second-largest retail store chain, Coop. The farm is built inside their Gardermoen, Norway distribution center and will be operative from Q1 2025.
