When I completed high school in 1988 I started working for QVC and by that time already had 10 years technology experience through my father who had been bringing home PC machines, programming languages, and reference materials since 1978. This experience helped examine business processes and design technological solutions to reduce cost. This 40+ year combination of hardware & software business application analysis has allowed me to work for some of the best fortune 500 companies in my career developing a seasoned patina of disciplined hands-on corporate and family owned business experience. I’m passionate about people and processes, looking for a full time opportunity to make a positive difference either within 1 hour of my home town of Asheville NC 28801 (home of the Biltmore) or remote like those positions I've held with Cisco Systems & Coca-Cola Beverages. As a technologist, I’ve always acted department independent, to volunteer where needed, to provide benefit when none existed. I’ve always learned as much as I could about an organization and it’s industry so that the work performed at the micro view could be seen from the macro view and reused where appropriate. In positions I've owned either as a consultant or employee I've been able to influence important risk mitigating roles in the company through my use of various documented disciplines, cost reduction analysis, and business partnering tools. Being able to apply software development life cycle (SDLC) in combination with lean six sigma green belt (LSSGB) in an agile 2 week sprint method guarantees success through it’s transparency. The genius is in the simplicity of making difficult things easy and reducing costs along the way which is what I've helped the organizations I've worked for do. My last effort saved an IT department 68% in ongoing development using methods I have published on Amazon.
