Avtrex was a software company specializing in embedded software for digital entertainment devices, primarily TV's, and TV-connected devices. Avtrex provided hardware-independent, customizable applications for: * core TV functions (broadcast and IPTV) * TV recording (PVR/DVR) * digital media player (personal and protected video, photos, and music) * streaming video (OTT and adaptive bit-rate delivery) Avtrex has clients and partners worldwide. Avtrex was acquired by Intel Corporation as the foundational core of its Intel Media division in March, 2012.
