Awareness Matters

Awareness Matters is a training organisation delivering part knowledge-based and part therapeutic-based programmes and workshops on abuse-related issues. Every programme is designed to support victims and survivors and are underpinned with a trauma-informed framework and approach, to best address the dynamics and impacts of abusive relationships. Our programmes include: Escape the Trap- A programme designed to help all young people to recognise abusive behaviours and identify the impact of these behaviours on their mental health and wellbeing. The VOICE Programme- A programme for adults addressing the behaviours of a controlling partner, the impact of traumatic experiences and build their capacity for self-regulation and self-care. Who's In Charge?- A child to parent violence programme that aims to change parental attitude, reducing blame, guilt and shame, and explores the use of consequences to change unwanted behaviour. We work with both statutory and voluntary agencies to provide in-house, multi-agency, and bespoke training.
