Al-Awda Factories: A Journey of Excellence Since 1977
Al-Awda Factories were established in 1977 in a modest 200-square-meter area, beginning with the manual production of pistachio and sesame sweets crafted by skilled Palestinian hands. As demand grew, the company embraced modern technology, introducing wafer and biscuit production lines in 1984. In 1994, an advanced automated wafer line from the global HASS company was installed, marking a significant leap in production capacity and quality.
By 1996, the company expanded its offerings with Baqli biscuits, meeting the high market demand with a capacity of 650 kg/hour. This was followed in 2000 by another wafer production line, enabling exports to neighboring countries. In 2001, RHEON’s advanced machinery introduced "Maamoul" to the product range, emphasizing global quality standards.
Al-Awda ventured into ice cream production in 2003, utilizing cutting-edge TETRA PAK technology to produce sandwiches, Magnum, and various other frozen treats with a capacity of 2000 liters/hour. A Krimbo production line was added in 2005, along with a factory for healthy, electrically cooked chips. By 2010, the company diversified into concentrated natural juices and chips production.
In 2018, a state-of-the-art factory in Hebron introduced unique wafer, chocolate, rolls, and cake production lines, marking a regional first. Currently, the company is establishing a new factory in Oman, reflecting its ambitious vision for growth.
Current Operations
Al-Awda employs over 500 dedicated staff and boasts a robust distribution network across Gaza, the West Bank, and international markets. Successful exports include the USA, UAE, Jordan, South Africa, and more.
