About African Women in Digital Health (AWiDH)

AWiDH is on a mission to improve the policy, capacity, and investment landscape so that African women can better participate and lead in the digital health sector. We strive to increase women's representation and leadership in the digital health space. We do this by: • Supporting the development and implementation of national policies, strategies and action plans on digital health through a gender lens. • Promoting and developing capacity-building programs for women in digital health, including partnerships and mentorships. • Building an online community to strengthen capacity and promote knowledge management and sharing to strengthen the voices of African women in digital health. • Investing in African women in digital health by providing direct grants to help kickstart their businesses. AWiDH is an initiative of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) Digital Transformation Strategy.
