Ayushya Wellness India Federation (AWIF) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to providing equitable healthcare to underserved communities. Our mission revolves around enhancing awareness, facilitating donations, recruiting volunteers, promoting Ayurveda, and offering health resources and education.
AWIF is dedicated to uplifting healthcare across India through the organization of health camps and awareness programs for Ayurveda. Our initiatives aim to provide essential healthcare services and educate communities about health and wellness. AWIF is an Indian development organization that works with person and their families to provide access to health awareness, healthcare and livelihood opportunities. We have health project, spread over 2000 villages and slums in 5 states of the country. With a population of more than 1.4 Billion, last-mile delivery of healthcare in our country is a big challenge. The diversity of the country further aggravates the issues of accessibility and availability of healthcare in difficult terrains. With more than 65% of the population residing in rural areas with a smaller share of the overall healthcare infrastructure, and the urban slum dwellers prioritizing everyday survival over healthcare, uneven distribution and lack of awareness also limit the uptake of existing healthcare services. It is crucial to address these gaps to meet the goals of Universal Health Coverage and support Govt of India's vision of Ayushman Bharat.
AWIF's comprehensive and community-centric health program takes primary healthcare services to the doorsteps of undeserved communities in both rural and urban India. Following a two pronged approach, the program provides curative as well as preventive services, addressing the gaps in availability, accessibility and affordability of healthcare.
