Association for Women in Science - Nevada Chapter

The mission of the AWIS Nevada Chapter is to create a broad interdisciplinary welcoming environment to advance the careers of women in science and technology and promote the participation of girls in the sciences. AWIS Nevada is open to ALL who LOVE STEM and support Nevada's women in science. As a renowned organization committed to empowering women in STEM fields, AWIS is delighted to establish a strong presence in the Silver State and create a platform for like-minded, STEM-focused individuals to connect, inspire, and thrive together. AWIS Chapters extend the reach and effectiveness of our collective advocacy efforts on behalf of women in STEM. Chapters are robust, multidisciplinary communities that bring together stakeholders from a wide range of employment sectors, scientific disciplines, and career stages. Their activities can vary greatly based on the leadership and community they serve.
