AYM Holding was founded by the YILDIZ family in 1986 for international commercial activities in the field of iron&steel. Since the early 1990s, the Holding has been carrying out exports of iron-steel products at significant amount to the Middle Eastern&North African countries, and concurrently, started to make metal-scrap imports to Turkey. With the knowledge & experience, gained over time, the Holding started to operate in the construction sector in these geographies; and via commercial relations with both local&foreign companies, became a solution partner in the procurement processes of construction materials & equipments.
In the early 2000s, the taking over of our Chairman of the Board, Mr. Metin YILDIZ, was a turning point in terms of increasing the existing commerce potential of AYM Holding and evaluating various investment opportunities.
Within the framework of growth plans, our first investment in different fields was made in health-care with take-over of Gelişim Hospital, in 2007; in the following years, new companies were established in construction & real estate sectors. In 2010, in order to concentrate on agricultural trade in the Middle East&African markets, a company of the Holding, based abroad, has commenced operations; this phase was followed by initiation of the Cement Factory and Type A General Bonded Warehouses investments.
Our growth in the health-care has continued with the establishment of a medical equipment marketing&supply company, in 2014; and the acquisition of another large private hospital in Hatay in 2019. AYM Holding, entered energy sector in 2016 with the establishment of a power plant that generates electricity from LFG, is considering advantage of new investments, especially in bio-gas & solar energy.
Today, AYM Holding has focused on sustainable growth, in line with the contemporary values&principles, directly employs more than 1400 employees; and actively continues its commercial activities in more than thirty countries
