The Arizona Health Information Management Association (AzHIMA) is an affiliate of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is the premier association of health information management (HIM) professionals worldwide. Serving 52 affiliated component state associations and more than 103,000 health information professionals, it is recognized as the leading source of “HIM knowledge,” a respected authority for rigorous professional education and training. AzHIMA has over 800 members involved in a variety of healthcare aspects. Our common goal is to provide quality information while providing patient confidentiality. We are responsible for establishing and maintaining policies to meet the mandated standards set forth by the government and other regulatory and accrediting organizations.
