Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment - 3.1 The Broad–Based Black Economic Empowerment Commission is established according to section 13B of the B-BBEE Amended Act 46 of 2013 (‘’the Act’’) as an entity within the administration of the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti). The role of the B-BBEE Commission is to supervise and encourage adherence of the Act in the interest of the public. In addition strengthen, promote advocacy, investigate, provide safety measure and promote good governance and accountability by creating an effective and efficient environment for promotion and implementation of the objections of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act.
