Through my practice I look at systems in nature where ecosystems thrive and apply these to human systems. Adaptive organizations operate like a healthy ecosystem, not a well-oiled machine. This is the premise of a ‘living systems approach’. This is the fertile ground from which we can partner. I will seek to understand your organization as an ecosystem, then create a customized journey for your company’s specific needs and desires. There is not a prescriptive template I will force you in like many big box consulting firms. The process is both organic and structured, adaptive, and stable. B the Light is a customized boutique consulting firm and is able to shine a light on issues and solutions most others cannot see. I see and appreciate the uniqueness of each client while also understanding the larger social, economic, and environmental patterns that shape and govern our lives–– the systems that are fading and the ones that are emerging. Through this lens I will work with you and your team on four main areas: 1. Transformational Leadership and Culture 2. Adaptive Systems Design 3. Operational Excellence 4. Scaling Up All of these are iterative and cyclical at the same time. We cannot look at one element without also understanding how it is in relation to the other three areas. I will approach our partnership in a holistic way that seeks to understand the ‘whole system’ and unlock its true potential all the while addressing your most pressing needs now… and having fun along the way!
